Data Center Operations and Maintenance Engineer

Location: Umraniye / Istanbul

·       Experience in supporting server products, including the replacement of hardware components. Proficiency in Linux system administration.

·       Hands-on experience in daily operations and management of data center facilities, including the implementation and management of on-site service procedures (SOP).

·      Basic project management skills, including the ability to create simple timelines and organize resources, capable of devising specific on-site operation plans in accordance with established project sch

Responsibility

 ·        Standby on-call first-level contact and incident resolution for customers and escalates major incidents as appropriate

·        Preparing SOP (standard operating procedure) of onsite support case and seeking for internal approval

·        Onsite support when it is required based on SLA definition 

·        Troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, network and system problems

·        Replacing faulty server hardware components as per customer scheduled time during working hour or non-working hour

·        Responsible for the installation and configuration of new end user software and hardware on operation and maintenance matters

·        Accurately document incident and service requests within the service management platform

·        Assist in purchase and inventory in and out of all technology equipment or spares parts 

·        Evaluate current configuration and processes and develop documentation and SOP’s 

·        If necessary, liaise with third-party sub-contractors or vendors to support internal procurement process

·        Case report upon closure of tickets along with weekly report, monthly report, quarterly report or yearly report

·        Position may be required to perform duties outside their normal responsibilities as needed and when requested

Requirements 

·        1-5 years IT technical support experience, excellent fresh graduate is totally welcome 

·        Solid computer knowledge, such as server and storage knowledge and experience, familiar with Linux CLI is preferred

·        Outstanding communication skills in both Turkish and English, bonus points if can speak Chinese

·        Able to travel on demand across the entire global travelling 

·        Work effectively under pressure and work overtime may be required 

·        Familiar with Inspur server (or H3C Sevrver) and experience on customer support and technical implementation is preferred
