Job Description

• Make the necessary researches in order to meet all kinds of material and service needs of the company in line with the incoming purchase requests
• Managing relations with existing suppliers and creating new suppliers, cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking
• Placing the purchase order to suppliers based on MRP requests
• Providing bi-weekly and monthly purchase list based on backlog orders
• To follow up import payments in coordination with finance department
• Generating import file and informing parties (suppliers & stakeholders)
• Working in coordination with shipping companies and customs agent during day-to-day business
• Following up customs regulation and recent updates in the field of Turkish Standard Institue directives
• Transferring the expenses of import/export files to finance department
• To provide the relevant logistics operation in the shipment of overseas orders and to ensure that the correct documents for the customs clearance process are prepared before arrival
• Optimizing the inventory level in line with purchasing plan
• Handling sensitive information and implementing trade compliance procedures during day-to-day business
• Coordinating with warehouse in terms of goods receipt
• Developing proactive approaches to optimize necessary processes

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience, preferably in Procurement, Export/Import and International Logistics roles
• Advanced level English both spoken and written
• Customs and legislation know-how
• Advanced Excel skills
