A Resource Manager

Position Specific Description

A resource manager is planning and allocating resources for a project; determines an organization’s demand for resources and ensures its capacity to meet staffing needs of projects; assigns employees to a project’s tasks; and participates in the hiring process.

Responsibilities of a Resource Manager

·         Candidate will be assigned to as Employer Representee

·         Assigning available employees to projects in accordance with their skillsets, previous experience, and availability.

·         Monitoring day-to-day project activities and corresponding resourcing.

·         Capacity planning, i.e. making sure that a company’s resources have capacity to work on upcoming projects.

·         Monitoring and managing employees’ workload, utilization, and overtime hours.

·         Monitoring and managing employees safety behavior, awareness and develop health and safety plan with EHS Manager (Environmental, Health and Safety)

·         Managing resource conflicts.

·         Overcoming resource shortages by means of resource management techniques, reallocating resources, assigning more staff, etc; informing senior management of any issues related to inability to meet clients’ needs due to resourcing.

·         Knowing all the current and upcoming projects run in an organization and business development activities and being able to plan resourcing accordingly. 

·         Collaborating with the HR department regarding staff training, compensation and benefit planning, payroll administration, and hiring new staff for projects.  

·         Being familiar with labor laws as well as resource management trends.

·         Documenting processes (e.g. weekly utilization report, etc.).

·         Ensure that all necessary organization, training, ppe and others are ready and submit to technician before the task start

·         When assigning jobs to field technicians, the employee's suitability for the job in terms of health and safety should be taken into consideration.

Education

·         A resource manager should have a Bachelor’s degree Electrical Engineer, or a similar field.

Required skills and qualifications

·         Bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management or a related field.

·         3+ years of experience in resource management or a related role, preferably in a project-based environment.

·         Strong understanding of resource planning, allocation and optimization principles and methodologies, preferably in the English context.

·         Fluently speak English

·         No health and safety obstacle from making field travel (Travel %60)

·         Experience with Onshore Wind Works, plus Onshore service works

·         Proficiency in using resource management software and tools to track, analyze and report on resource utilization.

·         Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to assess resource demands and optimize resource allocation.

·         Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

·         Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

·         A detail-oriented mindset to maintain accurate resource records and documentation.

·         Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.

·         A strategic perspective, with the ability to think proactively and implement resource management strategies that align with organizational goals.
