As Kaptan Demir Çelik, we are looking for “Purchasing Manager” teammates to be assigned to our Purchasing department, who can contribute to our quality service approach and always take us a step further.

• Graduated from relevant university departments (Preferably Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy and Materials Engineering, or Industrial Engineering, etc.)
• At least 10 years of experience in procurement,
• At least 5 years of experience in team management
• Experience in foreign trade,
• Ability to effectively manage supplier relationships,
• Experience in equipment and material manufacturing and project management,
• Preferably familiar with international trade operational processes,
• Technical knowledge and experience in supplier contract management and tender processes, experienced in cost improvement and supplier development, and finding new suppliers (finished products or manufacturing),
• Proficiency in English,
• Commercial perspective, competence in target price determination, advanced negotiation and proactive approach, experienced in material procurement according to budget, deadlines, and technical specifications,
• Experience in ERP and mastery of the ERP Procurement module,
• Proficient in MS Office programs,
• Analytical thinking and reporting skills,
• Research-oriented, detail-oriented, careful, strong negotiation and persuasion skills,
• Effective communication skills, team-oriented,
• Open to innovations and development, able to take initiative within the given authority and responsibilities,

Job Description;

• Experienced in team management, capable of managing team development and transformation,
• Able to negotiate the commercial, technical, and legal terms and conditions of contracts with suppliers (General Terms and Conditions, SLAs, technical requirements, price increases, payment terms, exit provisions, demand management),
• Involved in annual price agreements for categories according to long-term contract price increase indices,
• racking monthly expenditure analyses for categories,
• Identifying and qualifying suppliers based on capability, reference, cost, quality, and delivery,
• Analyzing market trends and conducting regular benchmarking to maintain competitive edge,
• Implementing cost reduction initiatives without compromising quality or supplier relationships,
• Negotiating favorable terms and conditions with national and international suppliers, developing new suppliers,
• Supporting and coordinating contracts with the contract department, ensuring compliance with project legal and regulatory requirements,
