We are looking for a “Design Analysis Engineer” to take part in Şişecam Headquarters in Tuzla / Istanbul. The ideal candidate would have the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering Departments of universities, post graduate degree is a plus
• At least 2 years of experience in finite element analysis or computational fluid dynamics, preferably in the glass industry
• Knowledge of hands-on FEA or CFD using Ansys or other commercial software (Nastran, Abaqus etc.)
• Have strong engineering fundamentals in fluid mechanics, heat transfer, solid mechanics and numerical methods
• Familiarity with CAD (especially Catia V5/V6 or other commercial software)
• Open-minded for new technology, research, science
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Being responsible for the stress analysis and CFD process of Glass Packaging and Glassware products
• Conducting internal pressure, vertical load, impact or thermal shock analyses of Glass Packaging Designs using Ansys Workbench
• Determining glass distribution (forming) and cooling/heating of molds through production simulation using Ansys (Fluent, Polyflow). Interpret and report on the results of these simulations and share with factories
• Being responsible for the complete execution of projects that require support from the Ministry of Industry and Technology as a Design Center
• Providing technical support to production staff during glass production for any issues that may arise; monitoring trial productions and carrying out corrective actions as necessary
• Conducting research to increase the efficiency of mold design processes within the design Department such as DfAM (design for additive manufacturing) projects
• Providing technical support for other product and mold development projects that are carried out company-wide
• Performing any duties assigned by the Mold Design Manager and Simulation Executive that are related to the content of the role
