Job Opportunity: BOQ Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented BOQ Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for various construction projects, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in cost management and project planning.

Key Responsibilities

·        Prepare detailed BOQ for construction projects, including materials, labor, and equipment.

·        Collaborate with project managers, architects, and contractors to gather necessary information.

·        Ensure accuracy of quantities and cost estimates.

·        Review project specifications and drawings to identify scope of work.

·        Perform cost analysis and provide recommendations for cost-saving measures.

·        Update BOQ as needed throughout the project lifecycle.

·        Maintain documentation and records of BOQ changes and updates.

Qualifications

·        Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.

·        Proven experience as a BOQ Engineer or Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.

·        Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and costing.

·        Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.

·        Proficiency in relevant software such as AutoCAD, MS Excel, and project management tools.

·        Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.

·        Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
