We are looking for a "Credit Analyst' for our global business partner is a banking sector.
Job Description
- Responsible for assessing the creditworthiness of clients by evaluating and verifying,
- The accuracy and relevance of historical financial data provided by business units,
- That financial forecasts, business plans, and related stress scenario assessments accurately reflect the counterparty's operating results, liquidity, and financial condition for the entire term of the proposed transactions,
- The inclusion, accuracy, and relevance of all qualitative data presented by business units, including but not limited to stock information, expected default frequency, credit default swaps, external ratings, industry analysis, peer reviews, legal contingencies, potential transformative transactions (e.g., mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, separations), and any other recent developments,
- The inclusion and accuracy of all relevant information provided by business units in alignment with ISP credit policies and guidelines, including but not limited to risk-weighted assets (RWA), credit risk appetite (CRA), early warning system (EWS) classification, internal credit rating, country risk, significant transactions, reputational risks, and groups of connected clients,
- That the proposed facilities, borrowers, collateral, and covenants fall within the appropriate approval level and ISP’s overall exposure to the counterparty’s group,
- A thorough assessment and analysis of the main risk categories (business, financial, and transaction risks) and their respective mitigants,
- Verifying the applicability of credit capacity approvals and simplified annual reviews based on specific criteria such as tenor, RWA limits, risk classification, internal rating, credit risk appetite, and transaction type,
- Monitoring credit risk within the lending portfolio, ensuring that the portfolio’s creditworthiness is consistently maintained,
- Ensuring regular compliance with both local and ISP credit policies, fostering a culture of professionalism and prudent credit management,
- Ensuring proper execution of all steps in the credit process,
- Overseeing the credit exposure lifecycle and driving appropriate corrective actions by engaging relevant business units,
- Verifying the accuracy of the bank’s tools (e.g., proposed facilities, borrowers, guarantees, collateral, covenants) and confirming the bank's overall exposure to the counterparty group and the proper approval levels,
- Effectively communicating and collaborating with all functions involved in the credit granting process,
- Assisting the Credit Officer International Network in verifying the capacity of plafonds allocated by the Chief Risk Officer’s Governance Area to cover country risk for credit proposals involving such risks,
- Supporting the Head Office functions dedicated to controls, working with Relationship Managers to monitor the portfolio's evolution and ensuring timely corrective actions by relevant managers,
- Performing preliminary credit analysis on potential counterparties and deals as requested,
- Preparing Independent Credit Opinions for proposed credit lines and presenting them to the Board of Managers/General Manager,
- Keeping credit policies, procedures, and workflow diagrams up-to-date;
- Reviewing credit-related requests from the Risk Centre, the Turkish Banking Association, or any other regulators/authorities, and preparing responses in coordination with the General Manager,
- Distributing official information and requests from the Risk Centre, such as KKB (Credit Bureau), to relevant departments,
- Coordinating and preparing responses to internal and external auditors regarding credit-related topics,
- Assisting in the main inputs for credit provision calculations in the balance sheet by periodically entering IFRS-9 scorecard data,
- Validating new credit utilization within the local banking system,

Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in BA, economics, finance or accounting or relating filed,
- At least 5 years of experience in the banking sector in credit risk management, financial analysis, credit evaluation, or a related field.
- Fluency in English,
