Senior EHS Specialist/Engineer

We are looking for a Senior EHS Specialist/Engineer for our EHS Team that is located in Cayirova/Kocaeli.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Class C Environmental Safety Specialist Certificate, preferably Class B
• Ability to work in shift schedules.
• At least 6 years of experience in Environmental Health and Safety.
• To have knowledge about machine safety,
• Experience in identifying risks and measures in areas with machine safety risk,
• Strong communication skills, problem-solving ability and decision-making skills                                                                                           
• Good use of MS office applications                                                   
• Proactive awareness and commitment to environmental and occupational safety practices
• Operational knowledge on waste and materials

Main responsibilities:

• Perform daily field inspections to identify health and safety risks and implement necessary precautions.
• Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety laws and regulations, and monitor their implementation.
• Supervise the OHS compliance of subcontractors and monitor work permits.
• Ensure safety measures for high-risk tasks (hot work, working at height, etc.).
• Organize training and awareness-raising activities to promote OHS culture.
• Conduct root cause analysis of accidents and near misses, and implement corrective measures.
• Participate in activities related to management systems such as ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, etc.
• Plan and deliver OHS training, and conduct risk assessments related to machine safety.
