General Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or Patissier
  • Extensive knowledge of pastry arts and baking techniques
  • Ability to manage a team and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Creativity and attention to detail
  • Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities
  • Flexibility to work during early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Description

  • Oversee the production of a wide range of pastries, desserts, and baked goods
  • Create new and innovative pastry recipes while maintaining consistency in quality
  • Train and supervise pastry staff to ensure high standards of performance and productivity
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to develop dessert menus that complement the overall dining experience
  • Maintain inventory of pastry ingredients and supplies, and place orders as needed
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards at all times
  • Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate new techniques and ingredients into pastry production
  • Contribute to the development of cost-effective pastry production processes
  • Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling, budgeting, and reporting
