We are looking for an OHS Chief to work within the Project Team in Kars-Iğdır-Aralık-Dilucu High Standard Railway Project.

 Job Description:

• Graduating from the relevant engineering faculty of universities (Environment, Chemistry, Electrical-Electronics, Mechanical, etc.)
• Responsible for the implementation of health and safety practices of the project and cooperation with the E&S Manager
• Investigation of accidents and incidents, implementation of OHS policies and procedures, conducting and reviewing risk assesments of project and associated facilities,
• Leading the OHS Team made up of occupational safety specilialists and occupational physician etc,
• Ensuring compliance to IFC Performance Standards, World Bank EHS Guidelines, Equator Principles, ISO 45001:2018 and related Turkish regulations,
• Manage the OHS documentation and make sure the documents meet Lenders’ expectations,
• Providing OHS guidance to the Lenders, Lenders’ Environmental and Social Consultant, AYGM and other legal authorities during site visits,
• Maintain relationships with technical and other project-level functional groups to coordinate integration of project-specific health and safety requirements,
• Preparation OHS Monitoring Performance reports to Lenders regularly,
• Conduct OHS compliance audits, inspections and meetings,
• Monitoring and reporting project health and safety KPI's.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 10 years experience including 5 in a similar role that utilized international finance and have a strong understanding of health and safety best practice including the Project environmental and social requirements,

• Good knowledge on IFC PS2-PS4/Equator Principles and Turkish Environmental Law,
• Bachelor Degree in Civil, Geology and Mining Engineering preferably,
• Fluent English in both spoken and written ,
• A-Class Occupational Safety Specialist Certificate is required,
• Having valid drivers’s licence and actively driving,
• Good command of MS Office Applications.
