We are seeking an experienced TBM (Tunnel Boring Machine) Manager to oversee the entire lifecycle of TBM tunneling projects, from tendering and cost estimation to execution and completion for our global business partner. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with multiple TBM projects, including at least one successfully executed using slurry-type TBM technology. Experience in setting up teams and working on projects in CEE will be considered a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

1) Project Tendering & Cost Estimation:

• Lead and coordinate the preparation of tenders for TBM projects, including cost estimation, risk assessment, and technical documentation.
• Develop procurement strategies and liaise with equipment suppliers and subcontractors.

2) Project Planning & Execution:

• Oversee project scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
• Manage TBM selection, procurement, assembly, commissioning, and operational performance.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and environmental regulations.

3) Team Leadership & Coordination:

• Recruit, develop, and manage project teams, including engineers, supervisors, and operators.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, stakeholders, and subcontractors to ensure project alignment.

4) Technical Oversight:

• Provide technical expertise on TBM operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Address complex geotechnical and hydrogeological challenges associated with tunneling projects.
• Optimize tunnel excavation performance and implement innovative solutions.

5) Regulatory & Compliance Management:

• Ensure adherence to local and international tunneling regulations, including construction and safety laws.
• Manage permits, inspections, and documentation for regulatory compliance.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in managing multiple TBM tunneling projects, including at least one with slurry-type TBM technology. Strong background in project tendering, cost estimation, and contract execution.
• Experience in team setup and leadership for TBM operations.
• Expert knowledge of TBM Manufacturers and related supply chains.
• Familiarity with tunneling standards, geotechnical studies, and construction methodologies in Poland is an advantage.
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
• Fluency in English
