We’re looking for a Technical Maintenance Team Leader who will be part of our growing team at Seluz Fragrance & Flavor Company in Silivri, İstanbul.

Reporting Line: Vice General Manager, Manufacturing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred).
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in a technical maintenance role, with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory position,
• Preferred candidate will have experience in a chemical plant and be familiar with Process Safety Management,
• Candidate should show demonstrated process improvements through structured methodology (A3, root cause, PDCA, Lean, Six Sigma, etc.). Certifications (Green/Black belt) are preferred,
• Strong knowledge of maintenance practices, equipment, and systems,
• Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills,
• Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide effective solutions,
• Familiarity with safety and environmental regulations,
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail,
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Job Description

• Performs and oversees project management and engineering of capital and expense projects including scope development, safety reviews, equipment specifications, quotation of equipment, bid package development-quoting for installations, field supervision of construction, cost control, commissioning, and project closure.
• Plans, coordinates, controls and fully embeds engineering changes up to agreed thresholds in accordance with quality and costs objectives.
• Contributes in defining needs by bringing technical expertise and by formalizing the strategic elements of the project. Supports the site departments in their investment request applications.
• Develops and manages the Maintenance and Engineering budget (costs, quality, service & HSE) including cost allocation model.
• Ensures that site maintenance operations are planned and executed in accordance with timing, quality and costs objectives.
• Ensures timely and accurate availability of reports and metrics required to manage M&E costs and service.
• Secures reliability and availability of installation through establishing appropriate preventive maintenance and inspection plans that satisfy regulatory and business needs.
• Manages and scales up the manufacturing implementation of new products on site in line with the Projet Management Office Team (PMO).
• Is familiar and complies with all the applicable corporate as well as site and laboratory policies/procedures regarding personal conduct, HSE and Product Safety & Regulatory Affairs (PSRA) standards.
• Managing and supervising all activities related to the plant (elevators, electrical, plumbing, heating/air conditioning, furniture, utilities, building improvements, renovations and works in general, etc.);
• Dealing facilities’ suppliers management for electrical, hydraulic, heating/conditioning system, utilities, building improvements and works in general;
• Being in control of suppliers/building professionals inspections, screening, estimates and in-site events;
• Overseeing all administrative activities to ensure the smooth operations of the office, including coordination with other corporate functions and consulting teams as needed.
• Coordinate and manage all technical issues in order to maintain the interior and exterior of the plant in excellent condition in accordance with company’s quality standards, service agreements, supervisor directives and annual technical budget.
• Ensure proper maintenance of the building structure, all electrical and mechanical systems and equipment, and interior and exterior landscaping.
• Assist in developing and actively implementing preventative maintenance programs and consequently monitors and reports on the results.
• Coordinate subcontractors and vendors to work efficiently and effectively to accomplish maintenance goals and timelines.
• Inspect the plant on a daily basis and notify responsible parties of the deficiencies or items requiring attention.
• Execute a technical review on a monthly basis based on a predetermined checklist.
• Maintain and update the asset register for all technical equipment and accurately logs all maintenance, repairs or replacements.
• Co-operate with the local authority and other governmental departments to ensure that all applicable codes and regulations are adhered to on the premises.
• Ensure that corrective action is taken as necessary upon the advice of insurers, inspectors or others to improve the technical safety features and programs of the plant with the ultimate objective of reducing liability exposure.
• Provide timely input to the annual budgeting process for all technical related expenses and consequently monitors and controls that actual expenditures are kept within budget.
