QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
YAF GROUP is a leading company in the maritime industry, specializing in new ship building, marine spare parts sales and supply, ship main and auxiliary machinery repair, ship management, and ship ownership. We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Business Development Specialist to drive new business connections and opportunities, particularly in new shipbuilding outfitting and spare parts sales.
Responsibilities:
- Identifying and developing new business opportunities by engaging with potential clients and partners.
- Conducting market research and analysis to create competitive business strategies.
- Developing and implementing sales and business growth strategies, particularly in ship newbuilding outfitting and marine spare parts sales.
- Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, shipyards, and industry stakeholders.
- Understanding ship operations and shipyard processes to effectively promote our services.
- Expanding the existing customer portfolio and enhancing customer satisfaction.
- Creating new business models and projects to drive company growth.
- Preparing reports and analysis for senior management.
- Evaluating strategic opportunities and global advantages, creating innovative projects, products, and services, and developing strategies to drive healthy company growth and profitability.
- Help in reaching out to potential clients via email, phone, or social media to introduce the company and its services.
- Provide necessary communication with YAF GROUP’s current and potential customers.
- Bringing new business development ideas to the company
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing, preferably in the maritime industry (shipbuilding, ship repair, or marine spare parts sales).
- Strong ability to conduct market research and identify new business opportunities.
- Experience in customer relationship management (CRM) and sales strategy development.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Goal-oriented and analytical mindset with a proactive approach.
- In-depth understanding of shipyard operations, ship equipment, and the overall maritime sector.
- Proficiency in Turkish and English (additional languages are a plus).
- Competency in MS Office programs.
