QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Aksa Energy is a global energy concern with business operations in five countries on two continents. The Company performs all steps in plant installation – from Project development to procurement, construction and installation – in-house with its highly skilled technical teams. Aksa Energy has built and operated more than 30 power plants using various energy sources to date, including coal, fuel oil, biogas, natural gas, wind and hydroelectricity. Taking its know-how on power generation overseas with power plant installations in countries in urgent need of energy, Aksa Energy provides fast and reliable solutions with long-term guaranteed sales agreements to meet the energy needs of countries
We are now seeking for a Contracts Specialist to our team!
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Disciplines (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical) from a reputable university. Master’s degree in construction management is a plus,
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in contract preparation, negotiation, and execution,
- Experience in EPC and FIDIC type of contracts is a plus,
- Excellent command of English is a must, both written and verbal,
- Good negotiation skills,
- Eager to learn and be proactive in any matters,
- Being able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously,
- Strong problem-solving and exceptional communication skills,
- Core computer skills (MS Office, pdf editors, etc.),
· Preparation and negotiation of various type of contracts/subcontracts (incl. variations, addendums, etc. when necessary) within all Projects of the Company, regarding the work scopes including but not limited to supply, supervision, installation, service, engineering, consultancy, etc. in coordination with legal, project and other respective departments of the Company,
· Following up the respective approval and signing processes for all subcontracts and variations, in accordance with the Company’s approved procedures;
· Ensuring the coordination with legal, finance and other teams in the company, and leading the processes in submission of bank guarantees by vendors,
· Ensuring the proper archiving of the signed contracts together with their soft copies, in Company’s document control system,
· Preparation of bond submission and contract administration tables and ensuring an efficient tracking of all contracts and bonds and other respective post-award contract activities,
· Review of interim payment certificates and their compliance with the signed contracts, when necessary,
· Identifying potential claim events and preparing strategies for dealing with them.
Management of all claims, including collection of all necessary evidence and records, together with preparation and handling of all contractual correspondences with vendors.
