QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Disability Inclusion Specialist, you will contribute to UNICEF’sDisability Inclusion Policy and Strategy (DIPAS) by strengthening disability-inclusive workplace policies, accessibility measures, and recruitment strategies. This role supports UNICEF’s commitment to theUN Disability Inclusion Strategy (UNDIS) and ensures the organization is a leader in workplace accessibility and inclusion.

1. Key Responsibilities
Policy Implementation & Reporting:
- Support the implementation and monitoring of disability-inclusive workplace policies.
- Assist with UNDIS reporting, particularly on reasonable accommodation, employment, and capacity-building indicators.
Accessibility & Inclusion:
- Develop and implement accessibility guidelines for UNICEF offices and digital platforms.
- Provide technical advice to HQ, regional, and country offices oninclusive workplace practices.
Employment & Reasonable Accommodation:
- Promote inclusive hiring practices and support onboarding processes for employees with disabilities.
- Manage reasonable accommodation requests and coordinate accessibility resources.
Capacity Building & Engagement:
- Conduct training sessions and awareness programs on disability inclusion.
- Engage with Employee Resource Groups to enhance workplace well-being and inclusion.
2. Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Disability Studies, Human Rights, Social Sciences, Human Resource Management, Organizational Psychology, Law, or a related field. AMaster's degree is desirable.
3. Experience:
- 7 years of professional experience in disability inclusion, human rights, or inclusive workplace management.
- Experience working with Organizations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs) or within theUN system is an asset.
4. Languages:
- Fluent in Turkish (required)
- Proficient in English (required)
- Knowledge of French (desirable)
