QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
SMR Plast Met Automotive AŞ, located in Hasanağa OSB, is the Subsidiaries of Motherson Group which is one of the leading Groups in the automotive industry.
We are searching for a "Key Account Manager" with the following qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Account Management:
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key accounts in the automotive industry.
- Act as the main point of contact for all customer communications, inquiries, and escalations.
- Sales and Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities with new and existing accounts to achieve sales growth.
- Expanding the existing customer network, establishing sustainable relationships, and acquiring new customer projects.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and agreements to ensure company profitability.
- Negotiating with customers on pricing, inflation compensation and other terms.
- Preparing and following up on offers, negotiating deals, and finalizing pricing strategies.
- Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement account plans to align with customer needs and company objectives.
- Monitor market trends, customer requirements, and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions.
- Actively participating in strategic sales and marketing plans, engaging in customer meetings based on the company’s commercial performance.
- Customer Support and Issue Resolution:
- Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, production, quality, logistics, etc.) to ensure timely delivery and quality standards.
- Resolve customer issues and concerns promptly and effectively.
- Providing technical clarifications for customer inquiries and developing conceptual solutions.
- Coordinating and organizing all project-related activities to ensure effective project management.
- Monitoring and controlling project progress and outcomes.
- Planning customer presentations, organizing events, and ensuring active participation.
- Reporting and Forecasting:
- Provide accurate sales forecasts and reports to management.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to account performance and customer satisfaction.
- Conducting budget and sales forecasting, along with market research and competitor analysis.
- Processing data efficiently, sharing information regularly with the sales team, and reporting to management.
- Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Maintain compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001 standards.
- Work closely with R&D and engineering teams to develop custom solutions for customer projects.
- Support new product development and launch activities tailored to key accounts.
- Performing on-site technical analysis of customer requirements and collaborating with project managers and engineers to find solutions.
- Ensuring safe and timely product launches for customers.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
- Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in sales or account management within the automotive industry.
- Proven track record of managing OEM or Tier 1 supplier relationships.
- Hands-on experience with plastic injections and tooling processes.
- Skills:
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth understanding of automotive industry trends, standards, and requirements.
- An analytical and agile mindset with the ability to identify and act on business opportunities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
