QUALIFICATIONS
At least 3 years degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Tourism Management or other related area
- At least 3 years experience in a similar position in a 5-star luxury hotel
- Excellent command of both written and spoken English (2nd language preferred)
- Self-confident, responsible, well-developed verbal expression and representation skills,
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills
- Advanced computer skills
- Result driven, proactive and reliable personality
- Being always attentive to look professional and well-groomed
- Ability to work harmoniously in a team-based environment
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Creating and retaining corporate segment customers through various sales activities (face-to-face sales calls, phone calls, hospitality, field audits, etc.), thus ensuring that your own account portfolio is comprehensive, reaching targets and maximizing production
- Making weekly calls (Sales Call) and hospitality + hotel tour (Entertainment) in the numbers determined by the Sales Director
- Creating and negotiating corporate offers, annual contracts and other necessary business relationships
- Entering information into the hotel system (Opera) in accordance with the standards determined by Address Istanbul and keeping company / contact information up to date.
- To closely monitor corporate company production and corporate companies (short-term and long-term stays) and to keep company & contact database up-to-date in the hotel management system
- To have up-to-date and comprehensive information about rooms, food and beverage areas, banquet organization areas, sales points and all the features of the facility of the entire hotel
- Coordinating and communicating with global sales offices regarding companies managed by global sales offices, directing potential sales opportunities to other Address Hotels outside the region
- Updating hotels about segment negotiations/progress and keeping the system up-to-date for both contact and customer information
- Providing feedback to the Assistant Sales Director about the changing market conditions, conducting regular research on competitors
- Completing weekly and monthly follow-up charts/documents and reports to be determined by the Sales Director
- To carry out 'Prospecting' to bring new corporate companies to the hotel portfolio
- Participate in Training/Development programs as recommended by senior management
- External duties that may be assigned by management; fulfill national and international (Travel)
ADMINISTRATION:
- Be knowledgeable of and enforce local and state laws and regulations, with specific reference to health and safety.
- Maintains account, contact, activity and business details within Opera S&C according to Address Hotels standards.
- Ensures delivery of expected guest service through follow up and coordination with other hotel departments.
- Manages referral response system and tracking of definite business - both inbound and outbound.
- Prepares weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as required
- Assists in the preparation and re-forecasting of hotel revenue objectives and compilation of market intelligence.
- Involved in setting individual room revenue and/or room night goals.
- Assists with development and/implementation of annual budget and marketing plan.
- Supports communication through attendance at weekly revenue management, rate strategy meetings and regularly scheduled Sales Departmental meetings.
- Keeps close follow up on developments of the competitor hotels (occupancy, structural alterations, renovation, special campaigns, rate promotions, marketing efforts, theme events etc.). Also explores and compares corporate traffic amongst the competition.
- Supervises the coordination with the other department heads to ensure quality of guest satisfaction.
- Updates customers with the latest development of the hotel and informs hotel management of all changes in the customer profile
- COMMUNICATIONS:
- Develop and maintain effective communication channels with all departments within the hotel.
- Maintain close, frequent, and open communication with the team members and most importantly to the reporting line.
- Maintain supportive, timely communications with Head Office colleagues
- To ensure awareness of bookings and sales programs among the other operating Departments of the Hotel.
- Maintain timely and responsive communications with accounts and prospects.
- - Develop and maintain a marketing communications program in concert with the objectives of the Hotel’s overall plan, to achieve the desired image, perception, and reputation in the mindset of the consumer.
- OTHERS:
- Perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established Hotel policies to achieve the overall objectives of the position.
- Establish and maintain effective employee relations.
- Maintain the highest standards of professionalism, ethics and attitude towards all Hotel guests, clients, staff, and employees.
- Maintain professional business confidentiality at all times.
- Perform related duties and special projects assigned by the General Manager.
- Handle and take on any other sales related function or responsibility and/or project as and when required.
