GENEL NİTELİKLER VE İŞ TANIMI

Rixos Hotels, with 25 years of experience in the tourism sector, continues to grow worldwide as a Turkish brand with new investments, driven by a management model based on dynamic, flexible, and proactive strategies. Currently, we operate 43 different hotels, theme parks, and special projects across 3 continents and 8 countries.

In Turkey, we provide services to our guests in various concepts with a talented workforce of approximately 8,000 people in the Antalya, Muğla, and Istanbul regions.

We are seeking a valuable team member for the position of “Commis” to be considered at Rixos Tersane İstanbul.

Responsibilities:

  • Bring in the daily materials pulled from the storage house to the kitchen,
  • Carry out the preparations under his/her responsibility, in accordance with the established standards,
  • Pay utmost attention to personal hygiene rules,
  • Maintain the work station in an orderly manner and in accordance with hygiene/safety rules and standards,
  • Perform all other special duties and other reasonable duties that may be requested,
  • Perform duties in the related section of the kitchen,
  • Responsible for all preliminary preparations and controls in his/her unit during working hours,
  • Work as auxiliary personnel to prepare food in accordance with the daily buffet programme for his/her section,
  • Support and exchange information with other sections,
  • Produce food in accordance with the standards and instructions,
  • Make sure that the storage houses that belong to his/her section are always kept in a clean and orderly manner,
  • Assist the Steward Supervisor and team in upholding the highest standards of cleaning and hygiene in the kitchen,
  • Carry out all responsibilities related to the quality management systems implemented at the facility,
  • Carry out all other duties assigned by managers and hotel management not specified in the job description,
  • To ensure you read the hotel’s Employee Handbook and have an understanding of and adhere to the hotel’s rules and regulations and in particular, the policies and procedures relating to Fire, Hygiene, Health and Safety,
  • To respond to any changes in the department as dictated by the needs of the hotel,
  • To be flexible and extend job duties to carry out any other reasonable  duties and responsibilities within the job capability as assigned, including redeployment to alternative departments/areas if required, to meet business demands and guest service needs,
  • To attend training and meetings as and when required,
  • To carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned by Manager.

Requirements:

  • University / High School degree in hotel management,
  • Preferably luxury brand experience in a similar position,
  • Excellent communication and organization skills,
  • Ability to work within a team,
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast past environment.
